Shea Butter Uses | 100% Organic Shea Butter – by Cleopatra’s Choice

Recently I received a tub of pure 100% organic shea butter. I’ll admit I was a little off put by it’s hardness. That is until I scooped a little out. It melted almost as soon as it touched my skin. It does feel a little greasy at first but if you continue to rub it in that feeling goes away. It also has a faint nutty natural scent. Since this was my first time using this product I decided to see what all it could do.

Here are just a few of the examples I found interesting:

  • Use as a lip balm to deeply moisturize lips so that they feel smooth all day. {With winter coming up this will be a great use of my new shea butter}
  • Mix with your hair conditioner for a deep, nourishing hair treatment. {I dye my hair so much that I need to try this idea out}
  • Apply on your eyelids before your powder eye makeup to intensify the color and make it last longer. {I love this, no need for a eye shadow primer}
  • Put some around the hairline before color application to protect the skin from stains. {This will come in handy for me for sure}
  • Heat it up in your hands and use it as a massage balm for fatigued muscles and joints. {I have already tried this on my husband, he seem to really enjoy the massage}
  • Brush a small amount on eyebrows to keep them in place. {This sounds better than my current method of using hair gel.}
  • Soothe razor burn irritation by applying a very thin layer on the skin. {This is interesting, I hope this works.}
  • Drop a few tablespoons of shea butter in a hot bath water for a moisturizing soak. {Soothing bath soak…Sign me up!}
  • Rub into chest when you have a cold for comfort and to help decongest the lungs. {Cold season is fastly approaching, I will see how this works very soon I’m sure}
  • Apply to lips to make them look instantly plumper. {Plumper, softer, moist lips. Sounds like a win-win to me}

I also did a quick look on my favorite place online, pinterest, and created a board with more ideas using Shea butter.
