Tommee Tippee Review

I was so excited to review an old company new to the U.S., Tommee Tippee. They have been a big hit in the UK as the #1 brand of infant and toddler feeding products in Great Britain since 1965!
Today their products are available exclusively in all Babies-R-Us stores and online at Babiesrus.com/tommeetippee and will be soon available in Toys-R-Us. Tommee Tippee products are designed to help relieve common feeding anxieties, with simply intuitive designs and features that address the needs and alleviate the common worries of today’s busy moms.
I had the chance to review a 2 pk of sippy cups design for 9+ months and a closer to nature baby bottle.
First the Sippy cup claims to be spill proof. “Don’t they all!” Well I have to say this the only one that I have found that truly is. Here are some photos to prove it.

We tipped it upside down, sideways and even throw it around a few times to test for leaks. This cup passed with flying colors. {pun intended…LOL} I’m so happy that I can now place this cup inside my car, on my favorite piece of furniture or lay it on brand new carpet without worrying that it will leak out and stain. Now if only I had a nice car or even a nice piece of furniture set upon new

Here is my daughter drinking from it: She really likes this cup. One of her favorite features is the cap. This is also my favorite. I love how it opens and has a little place on the cup to put it. My daughter loves opening and closing it. She also loves the rubberized grips and soft nipple for safe sipping. I also love how easy it is to clean it comes apart in four pieces and the mouth opening is large enough to fit my hand in to clean easy. No bottle brush needed. Oh and yes moms it’s BPA and Phthalate free. Plus Dishwasher safe.
Now onto my son’s new baby bottle: Closer to Nature baby bottle from Tommee Tippee.

Features and Benefits:
  • BPA- and Phthalate-free
  • Unique soft, ultra-wide nipple mimics natural shape, feel and movement of breastfeeding
  • Ultra-sensitive anti-colic valve lets baby feed at their pace for less air, vacuum build-up and nipple collapse
  • Seamless transition from breast to bottle
  • Shaped for a comfortable hold for baby and mom

I breastfeed Anakin and he has only ever used the bottle a few times when he was around 6 weeks old. Here lately I have been  applying for jobs and need to transition him to a bottle at least part time so that he will be ready for a sitter.

When I received this bottle to test out for this review I was really excited to see the shape of the bottle. It’s short even though it’s 9 oz this makes it easier for me to grip and mimics the breast-shape more. When I first tried it he latched on but he didn’t drink long. I think this was due to the milk being frozen and than thawed. I think he may like fresher milk. I tried him again on it this time with fresh pumped milk again he latched on but didn’t drink. This could be that he wasn’t very hungry because he was enjoying playing with it. Finally I tried it one more time and yes he took it. I believe this will be a great bottle to transition him from breast to bottle and back again.
